Anadolu Group was established by the Yazıcı and Özilhan families.
İzzet Özilhan and Kamil Yazıcı, the founders of Anadolu Group, first crossed paths in 1949. At the time, İzzet Özilhan was running a small grocery store in Tarlabaşı, Istanbul, while Kamil Yazıcı had just arrived in the city for his military service. Their chance meeting quickly evolved into a strong partnership, and together they laid the foundations of Anadolu Group in 1950.

Çelik Motor, the first company of Anadolu Group, was established.
Çelik Motor launched its operations by distributing Jawa motorcycles, Puch scooters, and Škoda pick-up trucks.

Anadolu Motor began producing industrial type engines.
Anadolu Motor began operations in 1965 under the name Çelik Montaj, initially producing Jawa motorcycles and Škoda pick-up trucks. By 1970, the company expanded its capabilities, starting the production of Jawa motorcycle engines (250 cc) and industrial engines under the Lombardini license.

Anadolu Efes was established.
Anadolu Efes established its foothold in the brewing industry with two pioneering facilities: Erciyas Biracılık in Istanbul and Ege Biracılık in Izmir. These breweries jointly launched Efes Pilsen, the flagship brand of Anadolu Efes.

Anadolu Isuzu commenced the manufacturing of trucks and buses.
Anadolu Isuzu began manufacturing Isuzu vehicles at its plant in Kartal, Istanbul in 1984. Anadolu Isuzu relocated to its new plant in Şekerpınar, Gebze, in July 1999 and has continued manufacturing there since August of the same year. The company secured rights to distribute Lada passenger vehicles throughout Türkiye.
